Sexual Assault Advisory Board of Ohio Meeting (SAABO)

All meetings are held at 1970 W. Broad Street, Department of Public Safety Columbus, Ohio or by phone. The number is given out two weeks prior to the meeting.

Meetings are held from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm on the following dates:

March 12, 2020
June 11, 2020
September 10, 2020
December 10, 2020

The meetings for the SAABO are public, though listed below is information from the SAABO policy for more specific guidance on attendance.  For questions or to attend meeting by phone, please contact Corina Klies, 614-466-0230, Ohio Department of Health, Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Prevention Program.

Participation is made up of statewide organizations for which the hospital protocol is related to their area of work.  Organizations appoint representatives to SAABO for two year terms.  New organizations can be added to the participant list upon request after approval at a SAABO meeting.  Meetings are public.  Multiple representatives of an organization are welcome to attend; in the event of a vote, each participating organization will have only one vote.
SAABO will not take positions on issues other than those directly related to the collection of sexual assault evidence.  Where such issues come up information will be shared as appropriate with participants and participating organizations can then choose how to respond.  Participants of SAABO individually are not able to speak on behalf of SAABO; they are encouraged to explain what SAABO is and serve as a liaison to group and to the participating organizations upon request.
