What is this?
Spend a morning exploring ODVN's Trauma-Informed Approaches: Promising Practices and Protocols for Ohio's Domestic Violence Programs. Understanding the 16 approaches will help you to develop a strong foundation in your advocacy skill set. Many programs in Ohio and other states and countries have utilized the 16 trauma-informed approaches as core training resources to enhance advocates' understanding of survivor-defined advocacy.
Real-time discussion and breakout groups will weave trauma knowledge and responses to survivors with trauma-informed care best practices during hotline calls, intakes, support groups, exit interviews, safety planning, and supporting parents.
Cost: Free for ODVN Members (ODVN Member Program or Individual/Organizational Membership); $25 for Non-ODVN Members. ***Note: If paying by check, please include the name of the training on the memo line.
CEUs: To obtain 2.5 CEUs, you are required to attend the entire training and complete the evaluation. When you go to register, please include your complete license number if you are a licensed counselor or social worker in Ohio. Evaluations and Certificate Request forms must be completed within 24 hours after the training to receive CEU's.
Deadline to Register: Friday, February 24, 2023
American Sign Language interpreters will be available.
Note: This training is hosted by ODVN. If you have any questions, please contact ODVN directly.
