The National Association of Social Workers presents - Anti Oppression Informed Practice Foundations
As social workers, we are committed to making social justice a priority in any of our chosen fields. However, following through on this task can be challenging for those in direct service environments. This spring, NASW Ohio is excited to bring back the unique Anti-Oppression-Informed Practice certification program to five cities in Ohio, focusing on what case managers, therapists, supervisors, and other clinical workers can do to actively promote anti-oppression principles within direct practice.
This training will cover:
Anti-oppression terminology and definitions
Relevant direct practice frameworks, including psychotherapy models
In-depth ethical exploration
Supervision and management skills
Institutional change and policy recommendations
Paperwork and billing options
Addressing client and co-worker bias
Burnout prevention and resilience-building
The training includes a certification as an Anti-Oppression Informed Practitioner. You will receive a decal of this image to display in your office. You will also be eligible to complete a short application and be listed on a directory of Anti-Oppression Informed Practitioners in Ohio so that potential clients can find you.
Join us for this first program of its kind in Ohio. Do more than check the box: make change happen!
