OAN Changes Now in Effect
In a planned transition during 2019, the Ohio Advocate Network established a new mailing address with the OVWA statewide office. In compliance with its Bylaws, OAN will continue to utilize a committee of multidisciplinary victim service providers to review applications submitted for the Registered Advocate credential.
Please share the following information with your colleagues:
OAN applications are no longer being accepted at the Greene County Prosecutor’s Office Victim/Witness Division, and must be submitted to:
Ohio Advocate Network
c/o Ohio Victim Witness Association
90 Northwoods Blvd, Suite B-6
Columbus OH 43235.
Beginning with the June 2020 application cycle, the Ohio Advocate Network will no longer waive the OAN application fee for individuals who also hold a valid credential with the National Advocate Credential Program (NACP).
Updated OAN applications, instructions, and supporting documents are available for download on the OVWA website. Please visit www.ovwa.org and click on the Ohio Advocate Network page. Prior to each application cycle, all new and renewing applicants should download the current forms and documents from the website. Out of date forms will not be accepted.
Individuals with questions about the OAN registration process or seeking technical assistance with an application should contact OVWA Programs Coordinator Janet Doolan by phone at (614) 787-9000 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
